This privacy policy applies to the Barbell Metrics app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Kevin Xue (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Registration is not required to use the Application, and the Application does not ask for your name, email address, or other contact details.

Your videos and lift data stay on your device. Videos you select are read from your photo library and analyzed on your device. Your videos, the bar path and rep metrics calculated from them, and the lifts you save are stored only on your device and are not uploaded to the Service Provider or any third party.

Usage analytics. The Application uses PostHog, a product analytics service, to understand how the Application is used so it can be improved. When you use the Application, it sends the following information to PostHog:

• A random identifier generated by the Application on your device. It is not linked to your name, email address, Apple ID, or advertising identifier.
• App usage events, such as when the Application is installed, updated, opened or closed, how long a session lasts, which screens you view, and when you take a screenshot along with the screen it was taken on.
• Actions and settings within the Application, such as the lift type, weight and units you select, plates and bar types you add or remove, the lift date you choose, the length of a video you select, and a random identifier for a saved lift.
• Device and app information, such as device model and manufacturer, operating system version, app version and build, screen size, language and region settings, time zone, and whether you are connected over Wi-Fi or cellular.

Like any internet service, PostHog receives your device's IP address when this information is sent, and may use it to estimate your approximate location (such as country or city).

The Application does not record your screen, capture the content of your videos or screenshots, or use this information for advertising. The information is not sold.

This Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device. As described above, an approximate location may be estimated from your IP address.

Usage analytics described above are sent to and stored by PostHog, Inc. on servers in the United States, which processes this information on behalf of the Service Provider. You can read PostHog's privacy policy at https://posthog.com/privacy.

The Service Provider may also disclose information:

• as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
• when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, or investigate fraud.

Analytics information is kept by PostHog for as long as the Service Provider needs it to understand and improve the Application. Data stored on your device remains there until you delete it in the Application or uninstall the Application.

You can stop all collection of information by the Application by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network. Uninstalling the Application also removes the random identifier and all data stored by the Application on your device.

If you would like to request access to or deletion of analytics information, contact the Service Provider at barbellmetrics@gmail.com. Because the information is not linked to your identity, the Service Provider may not be able to locate information that relates to you specifically.

The Application is not used to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. The Service Provider encourages all children to never submit any personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services. The Service Provider encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information to the Service Provider through the Application and/or Services, please contact the Service Provider (barbellmetrics@gmail.com) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions. You must also be at least 16 years of age to consent to the processing of your personally identifiable information in your country (in some countries we may allow your parent or guardian to do so on your behalf).

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Analytics information is sent to PostHog over an encrypted connection, and your videos and lift data are never uploaded. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to their Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
